The lesson and reading assignments in this unit discuss the relationship between businesses and environmental issues. Society has started to demand businesses take some responsibility for environmental concerns.

Do you believe businesses should be required to help protect the environment? Explain your rationale and offer examples of the consequences of failing to do so or expected positive outcomes to support your position.

What specific actions can businesses take to improve environmental concerns? Give two examples of potential actions – one that can have impact at a local level and one that can impact the environment at a global level. Your journal submission must be a minimum of two, but no more than three pages. You are required to use at least two peer- reviewed or academic sources to support your response. All sources used must have citations and references properly formatted in APA Style.
